Web Tip Leads To Drug Charges, Recovery Of Cocaine
10/3/13: The Beverly Police Department charged David Davis 47, of 13 Jacobs Street Peabody with possession with intent to distribute Class B Cocaine, operating with a revoked registration, operating without insurance, and operating with an expired inspection sticker, after the Criminal Investigations Division received a Web Tip involving suspected narcotics activity in the area of Rantoul Street near Federal Street. Detectives conducted surveillance along this area, and on this evening observed what was believed to be a drug transaction taking place. A male party identified as Davis was stopped after this observation for the above motor vehicle violations. After conducting a search of the vehicle and Davis, Detectives recovered a significant amount of Cocaine. The investigation was conducted by Detective Sergeant Dave Faustino, and Detective Dana Nicholson. The Beverly Police Department encourages all its citizens to leave Web Tips if they feel illegal activity is taking place, and applaud the citizen whom sent this tip in.
